We brought our 2026 season to a close this week with our End of Season Awards Celebration, recognising the people who have made such a positive contribution to another memorable year of cricket.
The evening was a chance to reflect on the performances, progress and commitment shown across both our men’s and women’s teams, while celebrating some outstanding individual achievements.
Ian Holland enjoyed an exceptional season, taking home four awards. He was named Men’s Bowler of the Year and Men’s Players’ Player of the Year, as well as receiving the Men’s Individual Performance of the Year award for his involvement in the fixture against Glamorgan. He was also crowned Men’s Cricketer of the Year.
Caitlin Chissell was another standout, enjoying an excellent first season with the club. She was recognised as Women’s Newcomer of the Year, Women’s Supporters’ Player of the Year, Women’s Players’ Player of the Year and Women’s Coaches’ Player of the Year — a fantastic achievement and reflection of the impact she has made.
Ben Cox was recognised as Men’s Fielder of the Year and Men’s Supporters’ Player of the Year, while Ellie Phillips was named Women’s Bowler of the Year following an impressive campaign.
There was also recognition for Rishi Patel, named Men’s Batter of the Year, and Lucy Western, who was awarded Women’s Batter of the Year. Alex Green was recognised as Men’s Young Player of the Year following a promising season and continued development.
While the awards celebrated individual achievements, the evening was ultimately about recognising the collective effort across the club. Every player, coach, volunteer and supporter has played their part in making 2026 such a special season.
A Special Thank You to Lewis Hill
The evening also marked an important moment for Lewis Hill, who will be retiring from cricket at the conclusion of the season.
Lewis has been a valued member of the club and has given a great deal both on and off the field. His contribution, commitment and character have made him an important part of our cricket family. Lewis, thank you for everything you have given to the club. From the performances on the field to the friendships and memories created along the way, your contribution has been hugely appreciated.
We wish Lewis all the very best for the next chapter and hope to continue seeing him around the club.
A huge congratulations once again to everyone recognised at our End of Season Awards, and an equally big thank you to everyone who has contributed to making 2026 such a memorable season.
