A charity walk supported by Leicestershire County Cricket Club has raised more than £5,000 for Ron’s March, helping the charity reach a significant fundraising milestone.
The Prostate Cancer Charity Walk proved a huge success, with participants enjoying the walk before taking in the cricket at the Uptonsteel Grace Road.
More than £5,000 has been raised so far, with further donations still coming in. The total exceeds what any other county has achieved through a single walk event.
The success of the event also helped take Ron’s March beyond the £100,000 mark in total funds raised, providing another fantastic milestone for the charity.
Reflecting on the day, David King said the event had exceeded expectations, praising the support provided by Leicestershire CCC in helping to make the occasion such a success. He also passed on the gratitude of Ron Hedley and his wife for the Club’s assistance.
Leicestershire CCC is delighted to have supported the event and everyone involved in achieving such a fantastic fundraising total.
Congratulations to all those who took part, donated and helped make the day possible.
