Foxes Duo Earn Scotland Contracts for 2026/27 Season

Leicestershire County Cricket Club would like to congratulate Nayma Sheikh and Ellen Watson on being awarded Cricket Scotland contracts for the 2026/27 season.
The duo are among a select group of players recognised with national contracts, underlining their continued development and importance to the Scotland Women setup. Nayma Sheikh, a talented young all-rounder, has already made a strong impression on the international stage since her debut in 2023, showcasing her ability with both bat and ball. Meanwhile, Ellen Watson brings valuable experience as a wicketkeeper-batter, having represented Scotland across multiple formats since 2019.
Both players have strong ties to the Foxes, and their inclusion in the latest round of contracts is a testament to their hard work, commitment, and performances at both domestic and international level.
The contracts, awarded as part of Cricket Scotland’s 2026–2027 cycle, highlight the governing body’s ongoing investment in the women’s game, with a cohort of players selected to drive the national side forward.
