Leicestershire Sign Tom Helm on Two-Week Loan Deal

Leicestershire County Cricket Club have signed fast bowler
Tom Helm on a two-week loan deal.
The 31-year-old joins from Middlesex County Cricket Club
and will be available for this weekend’s away clash with Sussex.
Helm arrives with strong red-ball credentials, having
claimed 177 wickets in 65 First-Class appearances at an average of 32.08,
including best figures of 6/110 and five five-wicket hauls.
Speaking after joining the Club, Helm said:
“I’m delighted to be joining Leicestershire for the next
couple of weeks and I’m excited to get going straight away.
“The Club has been playing some really good cricket and
there’s a strong group here, so I’m looking forward to contributing however I
can and helping the team.”
Leicestershire Head Coach Alfonso Thomas welcomed the
addition of the experienced seamer to the squad.
Alfonso Thomas said:
“Tom is a high-quality bowler with plenty of First-Class experience,
and he gives us another strong option within our attack over the next two weeks.
“It’s common knowledge that we have had a few injuries in
our bowling unit so far this season, so with Tom coming in, it will provide us
with that extra option. We’re delighted to have Tom with us.”
