Leicestershire's County Cricket Club hosted the 'Shockat Adam MP Summer School 2026.'

Leicestershire CCC provided exclusive access to the dressing rooms, media suite, indoor school, and training facilities as part of a program of events for young people aged 16-21 from inner-city Leicester

Shockat Adams organised the trip to help participants learn about the people and initiatives that make Leicester such a vibrant and special city.

The cohort also had the opportunity to play cricket, with a tasting session led by Stephen Franklin, the Women's Head Coach, and women's star player Amy Collquehoun, who tutored the group.

Emma White, the chief executive of LCCC, stopped by the Media Suite for a Q&A session with the students. She remarked, "There were loads of really good questions about finances, players, stadium upkeep, and general career advice. I applaud Shockat for these initiatives, and we support him 100%—we know that opportunities need to reach the wider community."
