A visit
to the capital awaits the Foxes, as Leicestershire take on Surrey in round two
of the Rothesay County Championship.
The Foxes
go into the clash looking to bounce back after a 222-run defeat to Sussex in
the opening fixture of their return to Division 1 action.
Surrey are
coming off the back of a high scoring draw against Warwickshire, where England hopefuls,
Ben Foakes, Dan Lawrence, and Jamie Smith all scored centuries.
Squad:
New Zealand
bowler Ajaz Patel comes into the squad looking to start 2026 season with the
Foxes with a win, whilst Yadvinder Singh misses out.
Alex Green
(ankle) and Ben Mike (knee) remain unavailable for the visit to Surrey, whilst
Josh Davey is edging closer to his return but also remains unavailable.

Last time we met:
The last meeting between the two sides in red ball cricket, came
back in May 2021 on home soil at Uptonsteel Grace Road. Leicestershire won the
toss and elected to bat first, with Harry Swindells bringing up his maiden first
class century, whilst Ben Mike passed his previous best with the bat in hand in
first class cricket, finishing on 74*. Leicestershire finished on 496 all out.
Surrey were then able to reach 324 all out before hands were
shaken and the match was drawn, with Leicestershire taking 15 points.
