Metro Bank One-Day Cup action returns for the 2026 season, with Leicestershire Foxes opening their campaign at Kibworth Cricket Club. The out-ground fixture will see Gloucestershire become the fourth visiting county at Kibworth, following Essex in 2023, Surrey in 2024, and Nottinghamshire in 2025.

Leicestershire and Gloucestershire are the two counties least affected by The Hundred. Gloucestershire retain the entirety of their squad for the competition, while the Foxes are without only Rehan Ahmed for the duration of the tournament.

The Foxes will also be able to call upon several new additions. Hamza Shaikh and Mo Rizvi both joined the club in the past week and could make their One-Day Cup debuts, while Sheridon Gumbs, who previously featured in the competition for Surrey, is in line to make his List A debut for Leicestershire.

SQUAD:

Sol Budinger remains unavailable after sustaining a knee injury against Lancashire on 28 May.

New signings Hamza Shaikh and Mo Rizvi are both included in the 15-man squad, alongside Sheridon Gumbs, who is in line to make his Leicestershire debut.

Ian Holland returns to the Foxes squad following his stint in Major League Cricket, while Ajaz Patel is also back in contention after being rested throughout the Vitality Blast campaign.
