It's semi-final time here at Uptonsteel Grace Road. Notts Outlaws make the short trip down the road as its an East-Midlands derby in the semi-final.
Leicestershire are preparing for their third Metro Bank One-Day Cup semi-final in four years. The Foxes beat Gloucestershire at this stage in 2023 before going on to lift the trophy, but fell short against Somerset in last year's semi-final.
The Foxes secured top spot in Group A after winning five of their eight matches, finishing on 20 points and edging Lancashire to first place on net run rate.
A youthful squad has been at the heart of Leicestershire's success this season. Nineteen-year-old Alex Green has led the bowling attack, claiming 14 wickets in seven group-stage appearances. Meanwhile, on-loan batter Hamza Shaikh, who will join the club permanently in November, has been the standout performer with the bat. The 20-year-old finished the group stage as Leicestershire's leading run scorer, amassing 405 runs at an impressive average of 81 from seven innings.
SQUAD:
Rehan Ahmed is available for selection after finishing his Hundred stint on Wednesday and is set to make his first List-A appearance for the club since 2021. Josh Hull is away with the PCC XI taking on Pakistan and therefore is unavailable.
