The Foxes climbed off the foot of the Division One table following their emphatic 42-run victory over Glamorgan. Their attention now turns to Yorkshire, with a 148-mile journey to Scarborough awaiting Leicestershire for the final Bank Holiday weekend of the season.
Leicestershire moved up to ninth place in the standings, leapfrogging Hampshire after the south coast side were beaten by 39 runs by this weekend's hosts at the Utilita Bowl.
Yorkshire currently sit sixth in the table, 16 points ahead of the Foxes, having won three of their nine fixtures so far. The White Rose county will be eager for revenge after Leicestershire secured a dominant innings-and-39-run victory when the sides met earlier this season, wrapping up the contest inside three days.
The Foxes' most recent trip to Scarborough came during the 2024 One-Day Cup, where they claimed an eight-wicket victory via the DLS Method. Lewis Hill and Ajinkya Rahane guided Leicestershire home, finishing unbeaten as they reached their target with 14 balls to spare. However their last first-class match played at Scarborough was all the way back in May 2012.
SQUAD:
Leicestershire are forced into one change the named squad that beat Glamorgan last week. Ben Mike picked up a knock after falling over during a delivery, and is replaced by Sol Budinger who is involved in his first match squad since the 29th of May. Sol recently scored 188 off of just 123 deliveries in a 2nd XI fixture against Glamorgan in his comeback from injury.
Ben Green (quad), Stephen Eskinazi (shoulder), and Ben Cox (concussion) are all still recovering from their respective injuries.
