It's a first for the Foxes this Friday as the Leicestershire men take on Sussex Sharks in T20 cricket for the very first time.

While it's a fixture that has become a familiar one in the women's game, the men's sides have never previously met in the T20 format, adding an extra layer of intrigue to the contest at Hove.

The Foxes head into the match on the back of their first victory of the 2026 Vitality Blast campaign. After a week to regroup and build on that success, Ben Green's side will be looking to maintain their momentum and continue their upward trajectory as the competition gathers pace.

Stephen Eskinazi is unavailable for selection due to a family illness. Everyone at Leicestershire County Cricket Club sends their best wishes to Eski and his family at this time.

Sol Budinger misses out after sustaining an injury during last week's victory over Lancashire.

Returning to the squad is Tom Scriven, who has recovered from injury and impressed in Second XI action during the week, smashing an unbeaten 80 from just 44 balls against Nottinghamshire. Scriven also got valuable overs into his legs across the double-header as he continues his return to full fitness.
