Originally joining ahead of the final three Vitality Blast fixtures and the opening three matches of the Metro Bank One Day Cup, de Swardt will now remain at Uptonsteel Grace Road through to the day after the competition's scheduled semi-finals, should the Foxes progress to the last four.

The 28-year-old has made an excellent start to life as a Fox, highlighted by a superb career-best List A score of 126 against Lancashire on Sunday. He has impressed with both bat and ball since arriving at the Club and will continue to strengthen the Foxes squad for the remainder of the Metro Bank One Day Cup campaign.
