Leicestershire County Cricket Club are delighted to announce that Sheridon Gumbs has signed a long-term contract with the Foxes, committing his future to the Club on a three-year deal from November 2026.

The agreement will also see
Gumbs remain with Leicestershire for the remainder of the 2026 season,
following an impressive spell during his initial month-long contract.
The talented batter has quickly made a positive impression both on and off the field since arriving at Uptonsteel Grace Road, with his performances earning the opportunity to extend his stay and become a Fox for the next three-and-a-half years.

Director of Cricket
Claude Henderson believes securing Gumbs’ signature is another important step
in building for the future.
“We’re absolutely delighted
to have Sheridon commit his future to Leicestershire. From the moment he
arrived, he has shown the qualities we were hoping to see, both as a player and
as a person.”
“He’s settled into the group
brilliantly, has a huge amount of potential, and we believe this environment is
the right place for him to continue developing his game. To have him with us
for the rest of this season and then for the next three years gives us real
excitement about what he can achieve in a Foxes shirt.”
Gumbs said he was excited
to make Leicestershire his long-term home after enjoying his first few weeks at
the Club.
“I’ve loved every minute
since joining the Club. Everyone has made me feel so welcome, and it’s been an
easy environment to settle into.”
“It didn’t take long for me
to know this was somewhere I wanted to be. The group is ambitious, the coaching
staff have been brilliant, and I feel like this is the best place for me to
keep improving.”
“I’m looking forward to
finishing this season strongly and then building something special with the
Club over the next few years.”
