Teekasingh and Davies named in England U19 World Cup squad
Leicestershire duo Faith Teekasingh and Flora Davies have been named in the England Women U19 squad for this winter’s tour of India and the ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup.
The pair are included in a 15-player squad for England’s biggest-ever winter programme at U19 level, culminating in the World Cup in Nepal and Bangladesh in January and February 2027.
Before the tournament, England will travel to India for a five-match T20 series across November and December, before remaining in the country for an additional week of outdoor preparation ahead of the World Cup.
Both Teekasingh and Davies have featured for Leicestershire Women during the 2026 season alongside their involvement with The Blaze.
The winter programme begins with the first T20 against India in Baroda on 26 November, with a second fixture at the same venue two days later. The series then moves to Surat for the final three matches on 1, 3 and 6 December.
England Women U19 Head Coach Chris Guest said: “This is an exciting opportunity for this group of players who will be the best prepared squad we will have sent to the U19 Women’s World Cup.
“The aspiration as always is to win the U19 World Cup. Taking on board learnings from previous campaigns, we have gone about things slightly differently this time, ensuring that our players are getting some game time outdoors much closer to the tournament.
“The goals for the winter are dual focused. We want to win the World Cup, and we are also developing players and helping them prepare for what their career might look like in a professional environment.”
